Position Overview
Successful State Farm Agent is seeking a qualified or aspiring professional to join their winning team for the role of Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member. We seek an energetic professional interested in advancing their insurance and financial career by providing a remarkable customer experience and first impression. The Receptionist is a midlevel position within our agency that works directly with our office manager to respond to routine service requests, ensure we meet appearance standards, and improve customer retention.
Responsibilities
- Promptly respond to inbound customer service requests (calls, emails, faxes, texts, walk-ins)
- Be committed to providing a remarkable customer experience through appointments with customers in order to review policies for their alignment with the customer's goals and make appropriate insurance and financial recommendations; typically, appointments are handled by Account Representatives, Team Leaders, and the Office Manager.
- Work with the service team to accomplish the agent's weekly "Service Checklist" to ensure our customers are cared for.
- Partner with the office manager to promote growth in the agency through policy retention.

- $15 an hour; producer licenses required, $0.48/hour ($625) raises each year based on licensing.
- Paid time off (4.7 hours/month) based on tenure; can be used for personal or sick) and cash out privileges.
- Paid Holidays (Birthday, New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas; other paid off days added at agent's discretion)
- Growth potential/opportunity for advancement into full time positions including customer appointment specialist or sales within my agency (this is a Tier 6 position in our agency; you can advance within our agency or receive coaching on owning your own agency).
Requirements
- Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License (employer paid, must have prior to starting; weeklong class and state test. Visit ALDOI.GOV for more information)
- Life & Health Insurance Producer License (employer paid, must have prior to starting; weeklong class and state test. Visit ALDOI.GOV for more information)
- Ability to communicate the State Farm value and review quotes with potential customers.
- Act ethically in your actions with customers, your peers, and the agency (we have a 0% tolerance for unethical behavior)
